Mebendazole is used to treat infections caused by worms like whipworm, pinworm, roundworm, and hookworm. Vermox or mebendazole is a broad-spectrum anthelmintic and it is available in the form of chewable tablets. Vermox tablets may be swallowed, chewed, or crushed and mixed with food. It may take few days after treatment before the worm is detached from your stomach and intestines. The treatment duration is depending on the type and susceptibility of the worm for Vermox, and how rapidly your own digestive system is moving. If the infection has not been cured within 25 to 30 days then patient must go for second treatment.
You should not take overdose of this medicine or else you can experience harsh side effects. You must use this medication according to the direction of the doctor.
